    Default Windows 7

It does look very nice. Got online easily, had to find and install a new Audigy driver but everything`s fine, I still prefer Winamp to Mediaplayer. I keep hearing about the new program dock or taskbar thingy, guess I`ll just have to play around. Bloody wife gets the hump all the time I`m on it now

    LOL Mo
My wife is fortunately still happy with Vista, but I am convinced that her PC would run better with Windows 7.

The only thing I fear with Windows 7 is that it so perfect...so we have to live with it for many years, certainly longer than Vista, but not as long as with XP

    Default Microsoft closes for download

To download Windows 7 from Microsoft it's last chance:
"First off: thank you for your interest in beta testing Windows 7! As we near January 24th, we wanted to update everyone again on the next steps for the Windows 7 Beta. The amount of feedback we have received has been amazing and continues to pour in. We are at a point where we have more than enough beta testers and feedback coming in to meet our engineering needs, so we are beginning to plan the end of general availability for Windows 7 Beta.
Because enthusiasm continues to be so high for the Windows 7 Beta and we don’t want anyone to miss out we will keep the Beta downloads open through February 10th. Customers who have started but not completed the download process will be able to do so through February 12th."

Windows 7 has a big security prob:

bad software can easy deactivate the UAC.

I ran Vista with UAC disabled, but make sure the virus program is always turned on & updated...and of course, especially on Windows 7 which after all is only a beta

    Default Windows 7 nVidia

Normally Windows 7 automatically download graphics drivers in 'Windows Update', but I discovered a problem with the GeForce 200 Series - no drivers

Do not panic, download from Guru3D & use beta drivers to Vista (182.05), there are Windows 7 in them

This is the latest version: 7022 ... this build does not include the UAC fix.

...but only x86 (32bit) here in this Torrent.
7032 just around the corner, but no links yet

Windows 7 Beta (7048-0-090219-1845) Ultimate 64 bit DVD

If you're thinking: I don't want Windows 7 yet, it has to be reinstalled all the time.
Yes, but it remembers everything for the earlier versions, installed programmes, mails...etc.

    Tested & works perfect
...except the graphics drivers for GeForce 200 series (did not for my GF 285)...but download here from nVidia

    2. Go to View tab.
    3. Under “Hidden files and folders” tree, select Show hidden files, folders and drives.
    4. Uncheck Hide protected operating system files in order to be able to view the hidden desktop.ini file.
    5. Click OK when done.
    6. Navigate to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup folder, or alternatively, just type shell:common startup in Start Search and hit Enter.
