    Default Henry's new toys

just before the old year ends i got some new parts

    upgrades:

    HD3850>>HD5750 Go! Green
    X-2400BE>>X-250
    Thinkvision L192p>>Dell U2311H
    IBM Scrollpoint 800dpi>>Logitech G500

Pic1: Powercolor HD5750 Go! Green and AMD Athlon II X-250
    PC315651.jpg
Pic2: GeCube HD3850 (factory overclocked version), Powercolor HD5750 Go! Green, Boxed AMD Athlon II X - 250
    PC315652.JPG
    Pic3: HD5750 OUT: 2x DVI, 1x HDMI, 1x Displayport
    PC315653.jpg
Pic4: the boxed AMD cooler is a bad joke against the "small" Scythe Andy Samurai
    PC315655.jpg
    Pic5: Thinkvision L192p vs Dell Ultrasharp U2311H
    PC315654.jpg
Pic6: Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse on Steelseries QcK

some infos why i choose these parts:

    Powercolor Radeon HD5750 Go!Green
for the new screen, 2x faster than the HD3850 and the sepcial Green Edition is cooled passiv and needs nearly half of the energy of the 3850
    AMD Athlon II X-250
upgrade from 2,3GHz to 3,0GHz + newer, more efficient model, compatible with my old mainboard
    Dell Ultrasharp U2311H
the time was come, the bigger screens have now the same prices as my 19" last time, original i wanted an 22" 16:10 TFT with PVA panel, just to get a widescreen for GTL&co, of course no bad TN panel, well funny that this Dell with it's professional IPS panel was 50 cheaper than the 22"s, it has also 4 USB ports, 1x DVI, 1xVGA, 1x Displayport - the picture quality is awesome
    Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse
the IBM was very old and had to be replaced, the G500 has very high DPI >5000 and you can adjust it in 100dpi steps, also it has an weight depot, where you can adhust it up to 27g, great comfort, 10 buttons, 4-way scroll wheel

    Big Grats
Always nice to have something new & faster. I know from when I only drove GPL every day...every time I got new, my lap times were faster ...but switched to wide screen is also a great experience.

@NRJ: You must not think of new...you are plenty fast already

Good spot Henry! The white keyboard belongs to my wifes PC which shares the same desk.

    That's magic racing dust.

nice gear Henry, love that screen!

but hey, i got the stock cooler on a Athlon II X 240, and the only thing i can complain about, is that lately is getting a bit noisy, imo it does the work pretty well
